When and Where the Animals will be Helping Teach

Friday, April 23, 2010, 6:00 - 7:30 pm - NEW DAY & TIME

Melissa will be teaching an "Animal Safari" seminar through Jefferson County Parks & Recreation (WV). April's theme is "Things that Hatch from Eggs."  This workshop will help to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of animals.  Under close adult supervision, there will be hands on interaction.  Three or more animals of different species will help us learn. Fee of $10 per child. Parents attend free with children.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 4 pm

The Northern Leopard Frogs, Chinese Praying Mantises, and Eastern Box Turtle will be appearing with Melissa at the Shepherdstown Public Library as part of the after school program on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 4:00 to 4:45 pm.  For more information, please contact the library at 304-876-2783.  FREE.

Saturday, May 15, 2010, 10:00 - 11:30 am

Melissa and Sarah will be outside of the Ranson, WV PetCo with adoptable birds for people to meet.  The Mexican Red Head Amazons should be there, as well as some of Sarah's foster birds. So come say hello. There will be educational resources on parrots available FREE from Phoenix Landing.  If you are interested in fostering or adopting a bird or simply attending a free educational class, stop by and see us!  FREE.
