Meet Puffy Tail - Leopard Gecko

Puffy Tail (PT for short),  lived at another home with seven dogs, a crested gecko, and other pets. Her former keeper, a friend of Melissa's, gave PT to us.  Before long, she settled in, enjoying crickets, mealworms, and Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches.  We enjoy watching her lick the water off of things in her cage after a generous misting.

Leopard Geckos' natural range is western India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.  They are nocturnal and, in the wild, eat insects, spiders, snails, small lizards, birds, and bird eggs, but have been known to enjoy baby mice in captivity.  These geckos lack the sticky pads on their feet, but rather have nails to help them climb on low-lying branches and rocks.  Leopard Geckos can live up to 30 years in capitivity. (Reference: Zoo Fact Sheets).

PT is currently unavailable for presentations, but you can reserve her as your Rent-a-Reptile! She'll be available again after August 15, 2012. For pricing, see our Prices page.
